Summer is Here! And I am going to have a PLAN!

Don’t get me wrong, we always have a great Summer, I just don’t always get to accomplish everything I wanted to.

So..my new plan is to write a to-do list

  • Beach days at least twice a week – with or without the kids!
  • Read a book a week
  • Go out to dinner for our 15th Wedding Anniversary
  • Scrub my bike with brillo to get rid of some of that rust
  • Go for bike ride with kids
  • Camp in our Pop-Up, even it means we have to sleep in the back yard
  • Sew! for me, the kids..whoever..just SEW
  • Clean my van inside and out, with some help from the kids
  • Finally save a jar for those darn Lightening Bugs
  • Take the kids to the beach to watch the sunrise
  • Dinners on the Beach
  • Hit the Gym 3 times a week
  • Have dinner with my parents at least every other week
  • More nights on the deck
  • Finally catch those free movies on Thursday mornings
  • More days laughing, less days yelling
  • Sign the kids and ME up for the FREE Summer bowling plan
  • Bring Nate to the Library program every week
  • Attend the Tuesday Worship Services
  • Have one-on-one time with each of the kids more than once
  • Have a girls nite by the firepit with Sangria
  • Make more dinners in the Crock-Pot on Beach Days
  • Use the Pedicure G/C that hubs gave me for CHRISTMAS!

We were blessed with a beautiful Easter Weekend!

Lady bug, Lady Bug.....

I was so relieved to have rain-free weather, I even let the kids begin their vacation a day early!

LAX & Bikes

Matty had his first LAX game of the season, and we couldn’t have asked for a nicer morning!

This is his first year as Goalie!

To celebrate the first game, the coaches & parents put together a family BBQ!

Nate & the Boys

Easter Sunday was relaxing. Matty was Worship Leader at our Church Service. We then swapped our Easter clothes for shorts and spent the rest of the day outside! Mom and Dad had an Egg Hunt for the kids, and then we enjoyed a delish Easter Dinner!

Just writing this post makes me chuckle..hehe

Over at our Church, we have these great Lenten Family Night’s every Wednesday. We enjoy a meal together, break off into age groups for fun, learning, and crafts & then wrap it up in the Sanctuary with Hymm Sing-a -Longs along with Grace and her Piano. We are also practicing with our kids for 3 different plays they will perform as a Sermon on Palm Sunday! How cool is that??!!! It is such fun! I wish we had these nights more often than just for the Lenten season. All three of my kids look forward to this all week long! What a wonderful place for them to want to go and connect with our “family”! We see friends we don’t usually get to sit and chat with after Sunday service, and we get to have this fellowship over delicious food!!! Yes, I know, spoken like a true Methodist 🙂

Which leads me to my funny memory. During family night last week, my daughter begins to follow/stalk me with a video camera (the GAP kids are making a video for Palm Sunday service) She finally gets in front of me and says ” ok, fill in the blank. Got___???” So, my first thought comes out…”Got Dinner?” Okay, unless you had the misfortune to see the video of the Pumpkin Olympics where again I am faced with that darn video camera and I am captured rattling off all the delicious goodies I have consumed at this fun get- together, you wouldn’t fully understand… Let’s put it this way..I love GOD & I love FOOD 🙂
